Donating Supplies

Clothing Donations

Please ensure items are clean, in good condition, and suitable for an age range of 26 to 55 years of age.

Food Donations

We serve 150 – 200 people per day. There is always a need for milk, cheese products, butter, eggs, cold cuts, and meat.

We are very thankful for the food and clothing donations we receive from our generous donors. If you can, please call the Gate first at 905-432-5316 to see whether we are currently looking for the item(s) you are planning on donating.
 
You can drop off donations any time Mon.–Thurs. (8:15 am – 2 pm) and Fri. (8:15 am – 1 pm), but can also call The Gate at 905-432-5316 and arrange for a mutually agreed drop-off time with a staff member outside of these established time slots. Once you arrive, please enter either the front door or side door and hand the items to a staff member or volunteer. If the doors are closed, call the centre and someone will come open the door for you to receive your donations. Thank you for thinking of Gate 3:16! 
 

 

Donating Financially

There are three ways for you to give online financial donations: PayPal Giving, CanadaHelps, or E-Transfer. 

If donating toward our New Building Project:
• E-transfer: please specify in message box. 
• PayPal: 
• CanadaHelps: please select “New Building Project” instead of General Fund.

Please note: CanadaHelps requires no account, but does charge a transaction fee of up to 4% of your donation. PayPal Giving requires you to have a PayPal account, however it is easy to set up, simple to use, and 100% of your donation goes to the Gate. Please click below to choose whichever option is most comfortable for you.

Other: in-person monetary donations can be made at our centre during our opening hours. Please provide them to either Alan or Rita only.
